So, I haven't updated my journal in over a month because, let's be honest, I was avoiding deviantART.

I feel bad. DeviantArt is the website I've been most dedicated to in my life. I've had this account for like 5 years now, and I have never neglected it. Five years is a long time to manage something. But after Anime Expo I was just wiped out, sick of cosplaying, almost sick of anime, and it was just exhausting and so I avoided deviantart. And the longer I avoided it, the less I wanted to come back. Imagining the stack of messages I would have--everyone's photos from AX, everyone's journals, and all the other artists' work, and having to friend all the new artists I met at the expo, and all the friends I made at the expo--it just overwhelmed me and so I kept putting it off.

A couple times I logged in, looked at a couple photos, read a journal or two, but never checked my personal messages. I didn't want to talk to anyone. For no reason other than I was lazy.

So today I went through all 200+ photos, journals, comments, notes, etc, like an ADULT.

yay I really do feel proud of myself.

And I hope I can upload more AX photos for you guys. The exist, but I am not happy with how I look in them. Like, really, I don't feel like any of them were very flattering. But people are saying they're fine and cute so w/e. I'll keep uploading them. Enjoy.
